Yara delivers solutions for sustainable agriculture and the environment. Our fertilizers and crop nutrition programs help produce the food required for the growing world population. Our industrial products and solutions reduce emissions, improve air quality and support safe and efficient operations. Founded in Norway in 1905, Yara has a worldwide presence with sales to 150 countries. Safety is always our top priority. Yara Australia is responsible for production, sales and marketing of fertilizer. We sell a broad range of quality products to almost all agriculture and horticulture segments. Yara has a long history in the Australian market, and our focus is to develop fertilizer concepts which increase food production, create value to the growers and minimize the environmental impact of agriculture. In order to strengthen our position in Central NSW territory, we are establishing a new role with preferred base in Griffith. Yara Australia currently has almost 50 employees.
• The development and successful sales of the total Yara portfolio in the region based upon an understanding of financial expectations of the sales budget. • Application of agronomic, commercial and marketing knowledge and skills towards farmers, resellers and key stakeholders within key crop segments. • Build relationships with internal and external customers and with a strong motivation to pursue new opportunities in a range of crop segments. • Provide supporting trials, crop demonstrations and sales promotional activities and transform them into value selling propositions.
• Solid farmer and/or agronomic background. Minimum 5 years working experience within agronomic and/or commercial fields. • Deep understanding of agriculture business and specifically plant nutrition. • Strong commercial mindset, enthusiastic and reliable. • Team player, self-motivated, adaptable and committed to the job. • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written. • Proven planning and organization skills. • This position is based in/around Griffith.
